How Long Does Gingerbread Last In Refrigerator?

Joan Miro. The myths of the Mediterranean

Until February 13 will open the exhibition at Palazzo Blue devoted to Miro Pisa (the second of a series dedicated to the myths of the Mediterranean, which started with an exhibition dedicated to Marc Chagall). There are 110 works on display in ques'allestimento, which begins with some works devoted to the myth of Daphne and Chloe, and that of the Minotaur. Next are the illustrations for Costellationes Andre Breton, the series Archipel Sauvage (1970) and L'espoir du NavigateUri (1973) and illustrated haiku. Rounding out the exhibition sections devoted to the myth of the woman, Mother Nature and the mythological bird. Miro
In the myth is used to claim the Catalan identity and find an identity with their compatriots in the countryside, in the light, in the mountains, worked in the fields and glistening beaches under the sun. This leads the artist to almost atavistic identification with nature and landscapes of the Mediterranean. The figural motifs, which will return throughout his long artistic production, are insects, and snakes lumanche addition to women, the very symbol of the Mother Nature and the birds seen as mythological animals.
The exhibition is well arranged, opens with a chronology of the life of Miro and from there throughout the exhibition is accompanied by quotations from the works of MirĂ³ that demonstrate his artistic choices and poetic. The lighting is properly installed and allows you to enjoy the best of the works (if not too close!). The works are well distributed in the exhibition rooms, giving them prominence. Council, however, visit during non-attendance because most rooms of the palace are not very big and good to see the works you need to do the mail!
Another small personal note about the lack of explanation of the artistic techniques used by Miro, some of which are a bit special (drypoint, etching) and perhaps little known. A small illustration on the use of these techniques could help to fully appreciate this amazing artist!
