When I commit myself to volunteering to help out at the Misericordia in Florence and the Solidarity Network of District 1, also of Florence.
made me very happy in 2009 to contribute to a wonderful initiative of the Network that involved nearly 350 people, mostly volunteers. The project
NovaEtà tended to ensure that the various fashion schools in Florence, undertook to make clothes for models elderly. About forty ladies venerable age, but young in spirit, they agreed to remove them with the models created by students in a demonstration organized by volunteers and housed in a large and famous Florentine club that welcomed the opportunity for nearly 3000 people .
For that project I limited myself to be a photographer, amateur, of course. I took a hundred photos on the various stages of the clothes. Those carried out at one of the schools involved in the project, FIT, which houses students from various countries, mainly American girls, were very nice and witness the atmosphere of solidarity between generations that had arisen so far from each other, in time and space.
Here I put photos of the parade, unofficial and imperfect because at that time I was there as a common spectator and the photos were taken by unfortunate location and without the proper tools.
But they are sufficient to document that that initiative was a great success especially in terms of motivation towards the "model" often hosted by homes for the elderly.
